PhD Topic
The project will work on an iterative framework that makes use of quantum annealing (e.g., D-Wave) and quantum-inspired solvers for constrained quadratic binary optimization. The problem of NP-hard wireless resource allocation will be the testing ground for these methods. A major component of the project is algorithm development and performance analysis across different QUBO solvers, applied to the real-world challenges of wireless communication.
Secondments: University of Naples Federico II (UNINA), Italy (quantum-computing techniques); Sorbonne Université (SU), France (Ising machines).
