PhD Topic
By taking these high-fidelity post-processing of QKD, through advanced error correction (eg., LDPC, Polar codes) investigating, privacy amplification and key reconciliation optimization, and machine learning for dynamic protocol selection application, the stage of QKD post-processing will be widely enhanced. It will involve algorithm design and optimization with a major concentration on reducing the computational burden and improving the key generation rates in the broad area of QKD networks worldwide.
Secondments: University of Essex (UESSEX), UK (network topology); Austrian Institute of Technology (AIT), Austria (QoS routing).
What will you be working on?
• research into quantum networks and quantum cryptography (QKD)
• design and optimization of algorithms (LDPC, Polar codes)
• use of machine learning methods for network optimization
• work with real data and simulation tools
• cooperation on international research projects
