Personal Summary:
Sabrina Álvarez is a PhD candidate at TU Delft in the group of Stephanie Wehner, working on applications for quantum networks. Her research focuses on decision-making under uncertainty in quantum settings. She holds a degree in Physics and a Master’s in Quantum Computing. As part of her Master’s thesis, she explored the use of quantum optimization frameworks, formulating the problem of malicious traffic detection as a QUBO to leverage emerging quantum and quantum-inspired methods. Prior to starting her PhD, she worked as a System Manager at Ericsson, where she gained experience in large-scale communication systems.
