Personal Summary: 

Olgierd Żurek is a PhD student in the Quantum Information research group at LIP6, Sorbonne Université. He holds a bachelor’s degree in physics from the University of Warsaw and a master’s degree from the QUARMEN double-degree programme, jointly organized by Sapienza University of Rome, Université Paris-Saclay, and the University of Toronto. During his Master’s studies, his research focused on developing quantum cryptographic protocols that remain secure in the presence of correlations. Olgierd is particularly interested in the practical applications of quantum information science. During his PhD, he will focus on exploring new applications of quantum networks and their potential for future quantum technologies
